Dog Training Basics with Anne-Lise; Pro Mascot Trainer

Hello, my name is Anne-Lise Nilsen!

To say my life has "gone to the dogs" is an understatement. I am a Certified Pet Dog Trainer as well as I manage a large dog Daycare and grooming facility (Camp Canine in Mukilteo Washington!) and have been working with dogs professionally for over 10 years!

I am also the trainer and program coordinator for Dubs II, an Alaskan Malamute who is the University of Washington's live mascot! Dubs' most famous role is to lead the UW football team out of the tunnel to start every home football game! He also brightens fan's days my doing meet and greets, photo ops both on campus and off!

Here's an overview of some of the positive reinforcement dog training principles and essentials that will be covered in this session:

-Setting up your puppy for success
-Fundamentals for the core training principles that can apply to dogs of all ages and training experience
-Covers the basic fundamental commands:
Sit
Down
Stand
Loose leash walking
Come
Touch
Basic tricks (high-5/shake & spin)
